Treatment

The name of the film which I decide to work on is ‘’Naivety ‘’. It is about two boys which get involved into a serious problem after a wild night in the University.

 Francis, just graduated student, who’s only purpose in life, is to create software which soon or later will help the world preventing dangerous terrorist attacks.  Moreover, his is seen by the audience as a shy, reclusive programmer who has no friends and had never experienced anything exciting in his life until he meets Cliff.

Cliff is the total contrast of Francis. His character is shown as an irresponsible, young student whose only purpose in life is to party, have sex and getting drunk every single day. However, in the beginning of his second year, the university sends him a notification letter telling him that he will get expelled if his grades don’t get higher.  That was Cliffs second year in Bristol University studying Psychology and so  he was told eventually that he need to present his course work till the end of the term. Unfortunately, that meant that he had 2 weeks left. Cliff was so desperate because  he didn't had an idea what is he going to write about.

While he was sitting in front of university entrance he meets Francis. In that moment, he comes with the idea that he may use Jonathan for his research.  His purpose was to create an introvert into extrovert.  So eventually Cliff becomes Francis best friend.

After few days, Cliff invites Jonathan to his huge party for Halloween. This part of the movie might be seen as the equilibrium of the film. At the beginning Francis wasn't so excited to go, but Cliff desperately wanted him to go so that he could finish his course work.

Eventually, Francis goes to the party and he gets extremely drunk. On the next day, Francis wakes up in his room with a girl sleeping next to him. He starts asking himself what happened the previous night. When he went to the café he meets Cliff. Cliff knew that soon or later Jonathan will find out about his project , so he decides that he should know. When he explain Francis about his problems with the administration of the university and that if he don't get higher grades till the end of the term he will be expelled  .

In that moment, Francis stops any connections with Cliff. He decides keep working on his course works, so that he could forget Cliff. It was difficult for Francis because Cliff  was really sorry for his behaviour and that's why he was trying to apologise.

To finish his course work, Jonathan had work for a really long time on a code for his program. While he was working on his program he couldn't find the CD with the code. He tried to remember when he last work on it and he remembered that that was the day when Cliff invite him to his party. Francis immediately called him to ask for help.
